Now that we have witnessed the 77laughable paintings of the Obama’s, that will forever hang in the White House, a Utah artist emerges with this piece of President Donald Trump- that put the Obama’s in further shame.
The creator was not commissioned by the White House or selected by the President but moved by Trump’s leadership through the NFL- National Anthem fiasco. You might remember the players who refused to stand during the National Anthem and the people who supported them. Well, take a look at what one motivated artist created to commemorate the valor President Trump showed during that mockery.
As Written By Fox Insider:
A Utah artist is opening up on why he joined the national anthem protest debate by painting President Donald Trump on a football field cleaning the mud off of a tattered and trampled American flag.
Jon McNaughton wrote on his website that he created the piece — titled “Respect the Flag” — because he respects the president for standing up to athletes who refused to stand for the anthem.
But what is Mcnaughton trying to depict in this powerful painting?
“It’s Donald Trump standing on a football field, and he’s picked up the American Flag that’s been trampled,” Mcnaughton told Utah’s Fox 13 .“It’s got grass stains on it, and he’s trying to wipe off some of the mud, and he’s looking at everybody and saying ‘What are you doing? Why did you do this?’”
McNaughton said he was a big fan of the National Football League until he saw NFL players take a knee during the National Anthem to protest racial inequality.
“It’s more than a banner, it represents all the people that have sacrificed, that have died and spilled their blood for this country, and so that’s why it’s so offensive,” McNaughton said.
So he was thrilled when President Trump tweeted: “The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our country, flag and national anthem. NFL must respect this!”
“I was proud of him for doing that,” McNaughton said. “So I thought I’m going to paint something that represents how a lot of Americans feel about this last NFL football season.”
