California Republicans are sick of being governed by the liberal elites and made their first official move to legally become their own state.

Could we see a new state in the U.S? This isn’t their first attempt but could it be the last? It’s understandable that the majority of California wants to break away from its liberal coastline. Under the elites management, the state has become leaders in poverty, taxation, cost of living, unemployment, crime, and now stand to be flooded with even more illegal immigrants. All this at the hands of the few. Well, they say they’re done with the warped reality their state has become and here is what they plan to do about it.

Two men frustrated with what they call an “ungovernable” California have launched a new campaign to divide the rural areas of the state from its coastal cities, reported on San Francisco Chronicle.

Founders of the “New California” movement, Robert Paul Preston and Tom Reed, write on the campaign’s website that California is “a failed state” and that “citizens of California are living under a tyrannical form of government that does not follow the California and U.S. Constitutions.”

The campaign cites high taxes, and a decline in housing, health care, prisons, state parks, education, and “business climate,” among other things, in both high-density and rural areas as reasons for a division.

Preston told CBS Sacramento. “There’s something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed,”

As reported By Bradford Betz With Fox News:

Unlike the failed 2016 campaign to split California into 6 states, the “New California” movement, founded by Robert Paul Preston and Tom Reed, seeks to consolidate rural California into a distinct economy separate from the coast.

“After years of over taxation, regulation, and mono party politics the State of California and many of its 58 Counties have become ungovernable.”

“After years of over taxation, regulation, and mono party politics the State of California and many of its 58 Counties have become ungovernable,” the movement declares on its website.
