Missing Virginia Mom’s Body Found Suspect In Custody [Video]
The body of the 23-year-old missing Virginia mother of two has been discovered.
A frantic search for a young mother began Tuesday when TerriLynn St. John’s failed to report to work at a horse farm across from her home. Upon arrival, police say a struggle was evident when St. John’s necklace was found just outside her vehicle and her cellphone was discovered in the bushes.
The mother had been preparing to take her two small children (ages 2 and 3) to daycare. The front door to the home was left open where the children were discovered inside, unharmed.
Thanks to social media chatter police were able to locate a suspect, Alvin B. Keyser, 23, who led authorities to St. John’s body nearly a mile from her home. Her body was partially covered in efforts to conceal the crime.
Fox News Reported that the body of a mother who vanished earlier this week from her Virginia home was found covered with leaves Thursday morning and a suspect has been arrested, officials said.
Major Michael Sampson of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office said at a news conference that TerriLynn St. John’s body was found around 9 a.m. about a mile from her home in Wake, located about 65 miles north of Norfolk.
“The closure on this is not good closure, but it is closure,” Sheriff David Bushey told reporters.

As reported by ALIX BRYAN AND JON BURKETT With WTVR:
Keyser, investigators said, knew both St. John and the father of St. John’s two children. He led detectives to St. John’s body Thursday morning.
“Keyser stated to detectives he confronted St. John at her residence about statements that were made about Keyser. Keyser stated that St. John struck him, and he struck her back he then pushed her out of the van Keyser was driving,” said Middlesex Sheriff’s Major Michael Sampson in a statement.
St. John got into the van willing. Her children, age three and one, were inside the home at the time. Investigators say Keyser admitted that he pushed St. John out of the van, continued to hit her, and strangled her until she stopped breathing.
Authorities are still trying to find out why the mother got into the van and say that she was not romanticly involved with the suspect. This investigation is ongoing and details pertaining to the case are subject to change. We will continue to update you as new information is released.
