Tucker Carlson Gets Into Heated Debate Over Trump Campaign Spy
Carlson Helps A Democrat Understand the Meaning Of The Word Spy.
As more information comes out and we learn that there was an investigation into the Trump Campaign. Democrats are trying to justify the spying that took place during in the Trump Camp. Tucker Carlson asked a Democrat, Eric Swalwell, who is part of the intelligence committee about the morality of the situation.
Carlson: “Why is it ok for an administration to hire an informant to spy on a rival political campaign without telling them? Why is that ok? Are you comfortable with that?
Swallwell: Well, that’s not what happened and actually we learned today that every person who has been briefed on this, except chairman Nunez, now says that the president’s account of this, that a spy was put in his campaign, it’s just not true.
Carlson: I know that there is a lot of lying about it, but I’m, not the president. Here’s what I read in the New York Times and what I think has never been contested. That the Obama Administration paid an informant to spy on the Trump campaign and then passed that information back to the Obama administration. They never told the Trump Campaign is that incorrect and what am I missing?
Swalwell: Well Tucker I’m not going to go into classified information but…
Carlson: That’s not classified that’s in the Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. Nobody has said that’s untrue are you saying that’s untrue?
Swalwell: I’m saying that informants are commonly used in a lot of cases to help us catch bad guys. If it was used here…From the evidence I have seen, the FISA applications I have reviewed, and the witnesses we interviewed, we would want to know everything about how close the Trump’s are getting to the Russians. But yes through informants
Carlson: So that’s somehow incorrect? So I guess what really bothers me is the Orwellian lying going on around this. I just stated what I think are facts. You conceded that they are facts and yet that’s not spying. How is that not spying?
Swalwell: Spying is what you do against an enemy, right?
Carlson: “No, you can spy on people you love, you can spy on your own children, it doesn’t need to be an enemy.” You’re expanding the definition into some made-up land. Why is that not spying? If I am watching you without your knowledge, gathering information without your knowledge, don’t tell you about it, I’m spying on you,” Carlson stated.

It sure seems like Obama views Trump as an enemy, which would, therefore, fit Swalwell’s definition of a spying. This seems to be a case of perspectives. The Democrats are always looking for ways to get rid of Trump. So, of course, they would positively spin a spy into an informant. But they would call any informant that was found in a Democrat camp, a spy.
