Dems Kill Immigration Policy That Would Keep Families Together And Their Reason Is Disgusting
Dems Shows True Feelings About Family Separation At The Border By Rejecting A Permanent Fix
Republican put forward some decent solutions to the broken immigration policy but Democrats shot down the chance at a real fix. The liberal leader, Chuck Schumer, truly told his fellow Democrats to reject anything Trump tries to pass because he wants to keep the focus on the President. What about the children?
Democrats have shown just how much they care about keeping families together during the deportation process by turning the focus to ‘get Trump’, yet again. While waving his pen at President Trump, Schumer basically said ‘do it yourself’ to Trump.
His response gave the impression that Schumer is offended that lawmaker should be asked to actually write laws. You know, do their jobs?! Take a look.
According to Western Journal, Democrats who decry separation of children from their illegal immigrant parents have rejected legislation to permanently fix the issue, instead passing the buck to President Donald Trump.
Although Republicans introduced legislation that would ensure family separation would be outlawed, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer dismissed the proposal, saying Congress should not get involved.
“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” the New York Democrat said Tuesday, The Hill reported. “Legislation is not the way to go here when it’s so easy for the president to sign it.”
Schumer’s comment came after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said it was time to put the issue ahead of partisan bickering.
As Reported By The Hill:
Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) on Tuesday dismissed a legislative proposal backed by Republican leaders to keep immigrant families together at the border, arguing that President Trump could fix the problem more easily with a flick of his pen.
“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” Schumer told reporters. “Legislation is not the way to go here when it’s so easy for the president to sign it.”
Asked if that meant Democrats would not support a bill backed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to keep immigrant families together while seeking asylum on the U.S. border, Schumer said they want to keep the focus on Trump.
