Joe Biden’s Words At Anita Hill’s Hearing Comes Back To BITE Him! [Video]
Then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Joe Biden urged senators in 1991 not to rely on an FBI report about Clarence Thomas, who had been accused of sexual harassment by Anita Hill.
Biden said that the FBI compiles interviews and does not come to a conclusion or make recommendations based on their findings:
“The next person who refers to an FBI report as being worth anything obviously doesn’t understand anything,” Biden said during Thomas’s confirmation hearing. “The FBI explicitly does not in this or any other case reach a conclusion, period. So, judge, there is no reason why you should know this. The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report — you wouldn’t like it if we did, because it is inconclusive.”
“They say, ‘he said, she said, and they said,’ period,” he continued. “So when people wave an FBI report before you understand they do not, they do not, they do not reach conclusions. They do not make, as my friend points out more accurately, they do not make recommendations.”
Then why does Biden want the FBI involved in Ford’s case against Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh? If, as Joe says, “they aren’t worth anything” why push for their involvement? to stall Kavanaugh’s hearing sounds like a pretty darn reasonable conclusion.
Biden, however, currently insists that a sexual misconduct allegation from 35 years ago made by Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh should be probed by the FBI, the Daily Caller pointed out.
You just know creepy uncle Joe is regretting those words now! And this is the guy that Democrats want to run for president in 2020? The same person, who time and time again, has been seen on camera being more than a little ‘handsy’ with women and children.
As Written By Politico:
Biden’s management of the Hill testimony in Thomas’ confirmation hearings has long loomed in the background of his political biography, viewed as a weakness when he considered a presidential run in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, the eventual nominee. But two years later, the weight of the #MeToo movement has only intensified the spotlight on politicians’ handling of issues related to sexual harassment and misconduct.
