A Chipotle Manager in St. Paul, Minnesota lost her job due to a known dine-and-dasher’s claim. Masud Ali claimed that the manager was not serving him or his friends due to their race. Masud and his friends are African American. The manager was just trying to ensure that they would pay. She believed Masud and his friends had previously ordered food and ran out. Masud put up a video claiming that the manager was being racist for not serving them.

Masud Ali, 21, said he and friends were told they couldn’t be served Thursday night at the eatery on Grand Avenue and were accused of being customers from an earlier night who weren’t able to pay for their meal.

“It sounded really racist — the way she said it was racist,” Ali said Friday. “She asked for proof of income as if I’m getting a loan.”

Chipotle investigated the incident and posted the following on Twitter.

“The manager has been terminated and the restaurant has been retrained to ensure we’re treating all of our customers equally and with respect. -Shaq”

Many News outlets didn’t do their due diligence which would have revealed that Masud is a repeat offender and brags about stealing food.

On Twitter, Masud was not bashful about how he had stolen food before.

“Dine and dash is forever interesting.”

“If you a real ass nigga we finna goto Applebees and eat as much as we can and tip the nice lady 20cents and walk the f@ck out.”

“not a dine and dash we’re just borrowing the food for a couple hours.”

The manager was fired because she was not 100% positive that he was, in fact, the person that had skipped out on paying before. But as you can see from his Twitter feed he likely was. She was partially in the wrong as she is not supposed to hand them the food until they pay anyway. She should have at least gone through the steps and held the food until they paid.

But Ali is not the innocent man that he claims to be,

Ali was sentenced to two years of probation in January for theft over $1,000, according to Minnesota court records. All but two days of a one-year jail term was suspended.

He also pleaded guilty to theft in November 2015 and received a year of probation, court records show.”
