Sarah Sanders Shows Grace When Responding To VA Restaurant Who Refused To Serve Her
Sarah Sanders Shows Grace In The Face Of Hate When Responding To The Resturant That Refused To Serve Her
Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders, and guests had no choice but to leave the Virginia restaurant when the owner refused service to Sanders- asking her to leave.
According to Town Hall, Huckabee Sanders sat down at the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia with her family for two minutes. Then, the owner asked the table to leave. Huckabee Sanders, not wanting to cause a scene, left the premises.
Her server, Jaike Foley-Schultz, defended the owner by saying that the press secretary essentially self-deported and was not physically booted from the restaurant.
Sanders remarked on the incident today, tweeting, “Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for
@POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so”

former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sarah Sanders’ Father, was not-so-graceful with his response to the restaurant’s treatment of his daughter:
Bigotry. On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA. Or you can ask for the “Hate Plate”. And appetizers are “small plates for small minds,” Mike Huckabee wrote.
If you’ve ever heard the term “to 86 someone,” it comes from the restaurant industry — code to refuse service, or alternatively to take an item off the menu.
“86 – Sara Huckabee Sanders,” read the note, below the reminder to buy more Pellegrino.
The Hill Reported that one of the servers photographed the whiteboard before going home Friday. He had posted it to his public Facebook wall by the time Wilkinson woke up Saturday. For all the angst that evening, Wilkinson said, everything had taken place with decorum. She had been polite; Sanders had been polite; the press secretary’s family had been polite as they followed her out the door.
Not so much the rest of the world, as it discovered Red Hen waiter Jaike Foley-Schultz’s Facebook post: “I just served Sarah huckabee sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner asked her to leave.”
