Senator Admits She Didn’t Care About Obama Separating Families
Democratic Senator Admits That They Weren’t Concerned When Obama Separated Families At The Border
Suddenly, however, it’s an issue but somehow it isn’t political bias? Are we supposed to believe these kids aren’t political pawns for the Democrats to play with? Yeah right.
To be clear, the zero-tolerance policy currently under fire is separating children from criminals. Not simply for crossing the border by bypassing the port of entry but for having prior records in the United States.
In some cases, the children being placed in facilities have crossed with people who are wanted in the U.S. for felony violent crimes and often not related to the kids- at all. What do you think will happen to these children once the criminals are granted access and the adults no longer need them?
This isn’t new, however, and Democrats didn’t care about these children before. So what’s changed? Trump. The liberal party has been without direction since losing the Presidential race and this is their grandstand to gain sympathy from the American voters.
“The Obama administration, the Bush administration all separated families,” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told reporters at the White House on Monday. “They absolutely did. They did — their rate was less than ours, but they absolutely did do this. This is not new.”
“This is a policy that is implemented under the Obama Administration,” former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said on Fox News.
As Written By Ryan Saavdera With The Daily Wire:
Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) told CNN’s Brooke Baldwin on Wednesday that she didn’t really care about how young migrant children were treated under the Obama administration, saying that she only really cared on a “case by case” basis.
“And so as so many people in this country are certainly outraged by the cages, and the thermal blankets, and the facilities housing these kids, you know, they were all there in 2014 under President Obama,” CNN’s Baldwin said. “And my question to you, Senator Baldwin, is did you speak up against them then?”
“You know, on the, on this issue that we get into a moment where we’re making progress and then when it, when it stalls, we turn around,” Sen. Baldwin responded. “I think we all need to continue to be focused on it and press it through. The American people need confidence that we can solve problems. Nobody believes that we have an immigration system that works. It is broken. It needs fixing. And we’ve just got to resolve to do that.”
CNN’s Baldwin continued to press her, asking, “But were you worried about it then? Did you raise your voice under the Obama Administration?”
“You know, in numbers of cases, usually, I remember a constituent who was in detention at the border, arguably very inappropriately,” Sen. Baldwin replied. “And, we, you know, we raised our voice in that instance and many others. But that’s, we’ve got to do this now in unison. It’s not enough to do it case by case for a Senator or a House member by House member. We’ve got to resolve to fix this issue.”
