Trump Jr Is Right, “No Sitting President Has Taken The Heat That Trump Has”
Donald Trump Jr appeared on “The View” to promote his book “Triggered.” It should come as no surprise to anyone that the ladies at The View were quick to attack him and the president over non-issues. Goldberg at one point claimed that Trump didn’t have “the pear” to be in office as criticism is expected. She even brought up how McConnell claimed he was going to ensure Obama was a one-term president. But if you look at Trump’s presidency he has faced a heck of a lot of more criticism and multiple attempts to oust him from the White House.
“Four and a half months after President Trump’s inauguration, Democratic congressman Al Green announced plans to impeach him. He cited as justification the president’s perfectly legal firing of FBI director James Comey — ironically one of Trump’s most popular decisions on both sides of the aisle — but Green later admitted the real motivation behind impeachment. “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected,” Green confessed.
When that resolution failed, Democrats tried to impeach Trump for conspiring with the Russian government during the 2016 election, which sent special counsel Robert Mueller on a two-year, $32 million-dollar wild goose chase that ended in the exoneration of the president. Next, the Democrats sought to oust Trump for paying hush money to a porn star — a morally dubious exchange but hardly worthy of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
When that failed, Democrats claimed Trump colluded with Ukraine, presently at war with Russia, the previous object of their collusion narrative. Specifically, Democrats allege that Trump engaged in a quid pro quo by asking the Ukrainian government to investigate the quid pro quo that Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden admitted on camera to having negotiated while vice president. As evidence, they cite the official complaint of alleged “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella, a career CIA analyst who just so happens to have served as Biden’s lackey on Ukraine policy when the former vice president’s quid pro quo took place.”
I don’t recall Obama having what seems to be endless attempts by the Republicans to impeach him. This isn’t about whether the president has “the pear” to deal with the endless scrutiny. The Dems have not accepted him as their president since day one, and have been trying their best to delegitimize the results of the 2016 election. If it had been anyone else in office there is no telling as to whether they would be able to put up with the same level of scrutiny or coup attempts. The Dems are just upset that Trump has the backbone to keep going, despite all of their attempts to bring him down.
