This Georgia Nursing Staff Will Disgust You With It’s Negligent Behavior Towards A Veteran.
A War Veteran Died Due To A Nursing Staff That Did Not Do Their Jobs.
A Video was recently released in regards to a 2014 lawsuit with Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation. The Atlanta ‘Health’ Facility tried to seal the video from the public but the judge ruled against them. The staff of this nursing home failed a man and not just any man but a soldier that fought for our freedom.
When James Dempsey was fighting in World War Two dodging certain death from the enemy it was probably in his wildest dreams that he would go out this way gasping for help. In the end, he was not taken down by enemy combatants or any heroic act. No, those were in his past and sadly his life ended due to the failure of Health Care workers. Health Care Workers that only have one primary job, keep their patients alive and as comfortable as possible.
It would have been understandable if Dempsey had died of natural causes or some illness that he may have contracted but in this case, it was pure negligence. The World War Two Veteran did everything in his power to get help. He pressed the call button as he had been instructed to and when no one came he called out for help, that should have been there. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence.
In the video below they show that a nurse actually comes to his room and she almost does her job, but somehow she can not see that Dempsey is need of help. She just adjusts some things and leaves the room, allowing him to continue to struggle to breathe.
The Head Nurse, Wanda Nuckles, of course, has a different story claiming that they tried their best to save the 89-year-old soldier. But as you will see in the video below they start laughing and joking having a good time as Dempsey is clearly in dire need of emergency life-saving treatment. If it were not for the hidden camera installed by his family, the nursing staff would have gotten away with murder by negligence.
If this is how Health Care Facilities are being run, I fear for the elderly.

As Reported By Andy Pierrotti, 11alive.com, NBC
Dempsey’s family declined to be interviewed due to a settlement agreement recently reached with the nursing home.
The nursing home operators, owned by Sava Senior Care, declined interview requests. In a prepared statement, a spokesperson wrote they were “saddened by the events, which occurred more than three years ago.” The letter also notes it has “new leadership and the leadership team and the staff have worked very diligently to improve quality care and the quality of life for our residents….The facility recently was deficiency-free during our recent annual inspection conducted by the Georgia Department of Health on May 25, 2017.”
The nursing facility was made aware of the video in November 2015, but according to state inspection reports, the nursing home did not fire the nurses until 10 months later.
