Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Makes Outrageous Statement About Slavery

The Democrats are at it again saying the most inflammatory things. This time it is DNC favorite Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Cortez is known for her anti-ICE stance and is a self-proclaimed socialist. Some say she is further left than Bernie Sanders.

So she teamed up with Bernie Sanders to support the campaign of James Thompson, who is running for Congress in Kansas. Sanders and Cortez both gave out high praise to Thompson but when it was Cortez’s turn she made the most ridiculous comparison.

She started off by going into a story about how she had done a project on Kansas when she was in grade school.

“I learned that Kansas was founded over the struggle of the conscience of this nation. It was when we were deciding who we wanted to be as a country. It was when we were deciding who we wanted to be with the Kansas-Nebraska Act. The people who were … leading this nation said, ‘You decide’ to the people.”

“‘Are we going to be a slave state or are we going to be a free state?’ And it was in 1861 that the people of Kansas decided that we were going to be a free nation.”

“Back then, the people of Kansas were the tipping point for the future of this nation. Today, they are again,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And I am confident and I am hopeful in the ability of every person in this room to knock on their neighbors’ door.”

Watch Her Deliver That Ridiculous Line Below.

I don’t see how she thinks that it is ok to say that voting Republican is somehow the same as voting for Slavery. You know if a Republican said this about Democrats he would be demonized and all over the MSM. They would throw a fit. But this is the current trend for Democrats, bash Republicans and take great offense when they defend themselves.
