Looks like Trump has made the right move. The MSM and Liberals were harassing Trump for removing the security clearance of the previous member of the intelligence community. But the way John Brennan reacted just proves that it was needed. He said the following on Twitter.
“This action is part of a broader effort by Mr. Trump to suppress freedom of speech & punish critics. It should gravely worry all Americans, including intelligence professionals, about the cost of speaking out. My principles are worth far more than clearances. I will not relent.”
He was not alone in his complaint as Comey joined him to express his outrage.
“Once again this president is sending a message that he will punish people who disagree with him and reward those who praise him,” the statement read. “In a democracy, security clearances should not be used as pawns in a petty political game to distract voters from even bigger problems.
“This president befriends and praises despots and dictators like Putin and Kim Jong-un,” he continued. “Those friends provide stark contrast to the patriotic Americans and public servants he disrespects, threatens, and calls enemies: a war hero like John McCain, members of our country’s free press, and devoted public servants like John Brennan.
American voters must not shrug off or be distracted from the terrible behaviors of this president, who lies to the American people every day, encourages racism, is a misogynist, and always puts his own interests above those of the United States of America. Politicians enabling this president should be held accountable in future elections. We are each responsible for what we say as well as for our silence.”
As you can see Comey and Brennan can’t handle that Trump would cut them out of the loop. So instead of accepting the wishes of the President they are complaining and making a big fuss. Comey went even further than Brennan making the outrageous claim that Trump was befriending our enemies and alienating allies. But the press, for the most part, has been no friend to Trump or his supporters.
Comey must have been watching a fake news channel. Otherwise, he would know that Trump has successfully dodged nuclear war with North Korea. But I guess he couldn’t say that as that would paint Trump in an honest light. As opposed to the biased anti-Trump narrative Comey and Brennan have subscribed to.
