CNN Host Fails To Bait Waffle House Hero Into Bashing Trump

James Shaw Jr is the brave man who disarmed a deranged gunman at a Waffle House. If not for his quick thinking he could have been another victim and who knows how many others might have also lost their lives. Shaw has been in the limelight since and used that attention for good. He opened a Kickstarter account and raised over $220,000 for the families affected by the Wafflehouse incident.

CNN brought Shaw in for an interview and gave him the setup to attack Trump, thinking that he would be anti-Trump for some reason. They tried to say Trump had failed to give him recognition for his act of heroism. But he didn’t take the bait nor feel the need to bash our President.

CNN’s Van Jones: “You touched the whole world, I mean, all you have to say is ‘Waffle House hero,’ everybody knows who you are. Have you heard yet from President Trump?”

Shaw: “At this time I haven’t heard anything, but that’s not to say he didn’t try to contact me or not.”

Jones: “So he hasn’t successfully contacted you. You know, but he gave a shout-out to Kanye today, but no shout-out to you. How do you feel when the president of the United States misses an opportunity to hold up somebody who’s trying to do good stuff, like you?”

Shaw:“I know he has a busy agenda, busy schedule, maybe he just hasn’t got around to me. Maybe my time is coming. It’s not for me to judge, really, what he does. It’s just I did what I did and I didn’t really do it for recognition.”

Shaw showed through and through that he is a class act and not looking to bash the President.

As of May 1st, it was reported that the White House is in the process of bringing Shaw in to meet the President.

“My understanding is that there has been an outreach effort to bring him here to the White House, and I’ll keep you updated on that as I have more information,” Sarah Sanders responded.

Shaw has also shown to have a better understanding of Waffle House incident than most Liberals. When he was on Ellen he expressed his concerns about mental health and how it is true culprit behind this attack.

It’s a public health problem that we have,” he said. “It’s a mental health problem that the United States as a whole has.”

He cited that one out of five adults in the United States lives with a mental illness.

So a hero that also has common sense, its a surprise CNN agreed to have him on.
