Conservative Parkland Student Kyle Kashuv is facing a tough environment as he is one of the few people in his school that believes in gun rights. A weekend ago Kashuv had gone to the gun range to empower himself and learn more about guns.
It was a good father and son outing. But that empowered feeling was quickly diminished as he went back to school on Monday. Kyle had shared his gun range experience on Twitter and upon re-entering school was treated much like a leper.
But it was not just the students that berated him about his choice to go to the gun range. History Teacher, Greg Pittman, joined in with that negative sentiment and waited for Kyle to the leave the room to call him “The Next Hitler.” The teacher likely thought everyone would be on his side. Little did he know that Kyle had friends in the class who told him about the slant.
But whats worse is that Kyle has relatives that lived through the Holocaust. He commented on Twitter about the hateful comment.
“My grandfather was one of the only survivors of the Holocaust out of his entire family, and now a teacher is calling me the next Hitler because I have different political views. Sad!”

Another student in the class also commented on the treatment of Kyle.
“It was basically a hate fest,” the student said. “They were just saying means things about Kyle. He talked about how he was right, and how Kyle was making an ass of himself. He did say he ‘was the Hitler type.’ I don’t really know what that means exactly, but I think he was just being crazy.”
Pitmann is a Gun Control Advocate and strongly opposes Kyle’s tweets.
“After a mass shooting at a school, you don’t have to be the sharpest tack in the box to understand when another student posts a photo of an assault weapon why school security personnel and police might ask questions,” tweeted Pittman.
Pittman Likely thought he was safe in what is usually a Liberal Habitat. But that is not necessarily the case as the school has stepped and they are looking into his gross misconduct.
School leaders take all matters involving students and staff seriously,” said Nadine Drew, a spokeswoman for Broward County Schools. “They are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter.”
The Teachers Union believes Pittman will be cleared of all allegations.
Kyle’s dad weighed in on the Hateful behavior of the History Teacher.
“I find it utterly vile that he’d call a Jew the next Hitler,” said Kashuv, whose family is from Israel. “It’s also quite telling that he doesn’t know that Hitler took the people’s weaponry and I want more law-abiding citizens to have firearms.”
I thought History teachers are supposed to learn from the past…
