Ocasio-Cortez came out in rare form and tried to reply to Mike Huckabee’s comment on Twitter. Huckabee took a jab at Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter after she made the odd claim that her win was as significant as the moon landing.
“We’ve done what we thought was impossible,” said Cortez. “We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dug deep and we did it. We did it, when no one else thought that we could. That’s what we did when so many of us won an election this year. That’s what so many of us did.”
Huckabee like most Americans was not as impressed by her win. Huckabee took to Twitter to defend the significance of the moon landing.
“Ocasio-Cortez compares her election to moon landing. Huh? Big difference. Moon landing was LUNAR, not LOONEY; Moon landing done by ppl who knew what they were doing…those who elected someone who thought there were 3 branches of Congress did NOT.”
Ocasio-Cortez saw this and decided to respond in kind.
“A Green New Deal will take a level of ambition + innovation on the scale of the moon landing. We’ve been done it before, and can do it again. Leave the false statements to Sarah Huckabee. She’s much better at it. Also, you haven’t been a Governor of any state for 10+ years now.”
She talks big on Twitter but both Huckabees would decimate her in an actual debate. It’s odd that she would jab at Sarah Sanders. She had nothing to do with this. But I’m sure she will run from this confrontation soon enough. Ocasio-Cortez has already tucked tail and run once before. She claimed that Ben Shapiro was bullying her when he asked to debate her. A bunch of conservative women came forward at the time to say if not Shapiro why not me. She ignored them as she is not up to any real challenge.
I’m surprised Ocasio-Cortez knows about the moon landing. Maybe that’s her area of expertise because it’s clearly not politics.
