Beto O’Rourke is a known Gun Control enthusiast. He wants to confiscate guns through a mandatory buyback. Right now he is focused on the MSM’s favorite assault rifles, AR-15s and AK-47s. But when he was told that assault rifles were not used during Columbine, Beto seemed more than eager to expand his ban list.
During a Q&A session in Aurora, Colorado, Columbine survivor Evan Todd questioned Beto about his stance on semi-automatics.
“Thank you for taking my question. My name is Evan Todd and I am survivor of the columbine massacre. I was the first student that was shot in the library. And I was the last one to talk to the two murderers before they committed suicide.”
“I understand that you want to get a mandatory buyback for ARs and AK-47s. None of my classmates were murdered with those weapons. Fifty percent of mass murders don’t happen with those weapons. Don’t you think it’s time we get rid of all semi-auto firearms?”
O’Rourke: “Sir thank you for being here. I would love to have your help. If you want to sit down and talk to about the kind of weapons that are going to be important to be regulated, I’m here with you and want to listen to you.”
“Why not call for a ban on all semi-autos?
O’Rourke claimed that he was only after guns that can kill people “effectively” and “efficiently.” So would that be all guns?
Watch The 2nd Clip Below.
And there was this emotional moment. A Columbine survivor, Evan Todd, asked Beto to include all semi-automatic weapons in his proposed ban.

But there was something that the crowd and Beto didn’t know. Todd is a 2nd amendment advocate.
“Todd is an outspoken defender of the Second Amendment. He works as the communications director for a group called Bullets Both Ways and is a vocal advocate for increasing school security and arming teachers. He even authored an open letter to then-President Barack Obama, outlining his opposition to proposed gun control measures.”
“I wanted a clear answer from Beto of where he draws the line, but never got one. To answer my own question on if we should ban guns, the answer is: HELL NO! As far as my stance on guns? The Second Amendment supports me.”
It sounds like Beto would be up for banning guns entirely. All guns can kill people efficiently and effectively. Officers carry pistols and use them during wars…But that’s the thing Dems don’t get, guns are simply tools. It’s the wielder that determines how deadly the gun is.
