Comedic Legend Tim Conway has died at the age of 85. He will always be remembered for his many hilarious sketches on The Carol Burnett Show. “Prior to his death, he suffered complications from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH).”
“Tim Conway, the Emmy-winning actor best known for his role in “The Carol Burnett Show,” died Tuesday morning in Los Angeles after a long illness, his publicist, Howard Bragman, said. He was 85. His wife, Charlene Fusco, and a daughter, Jackie, were at his side.
Conway also starred in “McHale’s Navy” and later voiced the role of Barnacle Boy for “Spongebob Squarepants.” An Ohio-native, Conway credited his Midwestern roots for putting him on the right path to laughs, with his deadpan expression and innocent, simple-minded demeanor.
“I think the Midwest is the heart of comedy in this country, and a little bit of the South, too,” he told the Wisconsin State Journal in 2005. “For some reason, we’re just more laid-back, more understanding. … And Midwesterners have a kinder sense of humor.”
“Harvey never saw what I was going to do until he was actually doing the sketch,” he said. “As a matter of fact in the dentist sketch you can actually see Harvey wet his pants from laughing.”

“I’m heartbroken. He was one in a million, not only as a brilliant comedian but as a loving human being,” Burnett said about Conway in a statement to CNN. “I cherish the times we had together both on the screen and off. He’ll be in my heart forever.”
Burnett will dedicate a previously scheduled performance of her one-woman show, “An Evening of Laughter and Reflection Where the Audience Asks Questions,” to Conway’s memory on Tuesday night in North Carolina.
“The love he gave us, and the laughter he gave the world will never be replaced, but will be remembered forever,” His daughter, Kelly told us. “He is at peace now but I will miss him every second of every day until we meet again in heaven.
