DEATH THREATS: Manafort Judge Under Federal Protection

Judge TS Ellis announced in court that he is under federal protection because of the many death threats he has received. He then turned down a request from the far left media that wanted him to release the names and the addresses of the jury.

He said he might release it after the trial but he doesn’t want jurors, who are not sequestered, to be intimidated into voting guilty by the far left. But, of course, that is exactly why the media wants the names and addresses. The liberal media would never attack a conservative, but they will gladly hold the coats for those who do.

From The Daily Caller

Ellis made the comments after a coalition of news organizations — including The Washington Post, The New York Times, Associated Press, CNN, NBC, Politico, and BuzzFeed — requested the names and addresses of jurors seated for Manafort’s case.

“There is no reason to believe that extraordinary circumstances exist that would justify keeping jurors’ names sealed — particularly after they have rendered their verdict,” their motion reads.

But Ellis disagreed, and rejected the motion for fear the jurors would be subject to the same harassment he has received.

I agree with the judge. If he released the names and addresses, some domestic terrorist group like ANTIFA will camp on the doorstep and threaten any juror they think might vote to acquit.

They might vandalize their house, frighten their children or attack their spouse or themselves. I don’t believe they should be released after the trial for the same reason.
