Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke proved how little he cares about life with an answer he gave to a crowd about third-trimester abortions. He said to leave it up to the mother.
An audience member asked O’Rourke the following question that showed how stubborn he is when it comes to allowing third-trimester abortions.
“My question is this: I was born September 8th, 1989, and I want to know if you think on September 7th, 1989, my life had no value?” he asked the Democrat.
“Of course I don’t think that. And of course, I’m glad that you’re here,” O’Rourke responded. “But you referenced my answer in Ohio, and it remains the same. This is a decision that neither you, nor I, nor the United States government should be making. That’s a decision for the woman to make. We want her to have the best possible access to care and medical provider and I will tell you the consequence on women’s right to choose.”

“While O’Rourke’s position that abortion should be legal until the moment of birth is terrifying, it is in lockstep with his Democratic counterparts. Presidential hopefuls like Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have all endorsed late-term abortion. Moreover, as noted by Fox News, Democratic presidential candidates in the Senate have effectively gone on record as pro-infanticide by voting down the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act proposed by Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE). The bill would force doctors to treat born-alive infants from botched abortions with full medical care, instead of letting them die.
In June, NPR reported that public support for abortion in the third trimester is at only 13%. “Gallup finds that 60 percent of Americans believe abortion generally should be legal during the first three months of pregnancy, known as the first trimester. That support drops by more than half, to 28 percent, once a pregnancy reaches the second trimester; it falls to 13 percent in the third trimester, at which point the fetus is often viable with medical support,” the report noted.
The third trimester is when a baby becomes viable, they can live outside of the mother. They may need medical help depending on how far they are from full-term, but still, the baby is alive. The mother at the very least should put the child up for adoption if they choose they don’t want the baby. But aborting a child in the third trimester is cruel. And it is disgusting that these Dems don’t understand that.
