Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who chairs the House Democratic Caucus, on Sunday told Washington Times that he doesn’t regret recent language he’s used describing President Trump, which has included calling the President the “grand wizard” of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“I don’t regret the use of the language, but I do think we need to move forward,” Mr. Jeffries, New York Democrat, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Mr. Jeffries made the comment last week at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event.
“We have a hater in the White House, the birther-in-chief, the grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” Mr. Jeffriessaid then, referring to a leadership designation in the Ku Klux Klan. “One of the things that we’ve learned is that while Jim Crow may be dead, he’s still got some nieces and nephews that are alive and well.”
When pressed, Mr. Jeffries, the Democratic Caucus chairman, would not explicitly call the president a racist and insisted that he used a “colorful phrase” on Monday.
Early last year, Jeffries blasted Trump after he suggested it was treasonous for Democrats not to applaud during his State of the Union.
“How dare you lecture us about treason,” Jeffries said of Trump. “This is not a dictatorship. It’s a democracy, and we do not have to stand for a reality show host masquerading as president of the United States of America.”
The far-left Democrat joins the Ocossio-Cortez reasoning that taxpayers should pay for abortions. When asked if he also supported using the murdered fetuses to conduct stem cell the chairman answered yes. Also adding that this too should be paid for by taxpayers.
Liberals have already started calling Jeffries the “next Obama”. A phrase that Jeffries reportedly hates.
Jeffries also supports gun-control and has openly stated that Americans should not be allowed to carry a concealed weapon. So yeah, I am ok with calling in Obama 2.0 because that’s what he is. Finally, the Dems got something right.
