John Hopkins Warns Parents About Child-Gender Treatment ‘Comparable to doing frontal lobotomies’

Paul McHugh, professor, and psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins University issued a grave warning to parents and physicians against gender-reassignment treatment on children. The new push to lower the age of treatment has proven successful in a few US states and without proper guidance children are being subjected to what he says is ‘comparable to a frontal lobotomy’.

Most of the so-called treatments being given to children are heavy hormone supplements and blockers. Both of which jumbles up the brains natural chemistry so it’s easy to see the professor’s concerns.

This ‘child-led parenting’ has just grown out of control over the years and we are only now starting to see the serious ramifications of it. I totally expect things to get worse before they get better-if they ever do.

According to TheBlaze, McHugh branded the practice as “reckless and irresponsible,” according to the outlet, and insisted that many physicians are allowing child-aged patients to transition without concrete evidence that it is in the best interest of the child.

“[Doctors] don’t have evidence that [the treatment] will be the right one,” he told the outlet during a phone interview. “Many people are doing what amounts to an experiment on these young people without telling them it’s an experiment.”

“You need evidence for that, and this is a very serious treatment,” McHugh added. “It is comparable to doing frontal lobotomies.”

McHugh pointed out that he believes children who are experiences feelings of transgenderism are simply suffering from mental issues.

“I think their mental problems, often depression, discouragement, are the things that need treatment,” he said. He goes on to explain that even his opinions are just a hypothesis at this stage. There just hasn’t been enough research to warrant the claim that these treatments are safe.

It’d kind of terrifying how some of the youth of today are practically left without real guidance to navigate the world alone. Even scarier that doctors are willing to experiment on these children.
