A Trump supporting Candidate shares a letter sent to him stating that Maxine Waters wants to bring in 41,000 Somali refugees. Of course, he immediately wants to stop Waters- if that was, in fact, her goal. Rather than heeding his warning to investigate the validity of the letter the FBI investigates him?
Meanwhile, John McCain hand-delivered a bogus Dossier that kick-started a costly and endless probe into a unfounded Trump-Russian collusion, and no one bats an eye? Does this sound right?
According to the LA Times, the GOP candidate, Omar Navarro, posted the letter on what looks like official House of Representatives letterhead to Twitter on Monday. The letter, which purports to be from the congresswoman, says the congresswoman wants to bring refugees to her congressional district after the 2018 election “and perhaps even once I have secured the Speaker of the House position.”
Navarro accompanied the tweeted letter with a message: “According to this document, Maxine Waters wants more terrorists, like the one who bombed NYC, in California’s 43rd District. As Congressman of CA’s 43rd District, I will oppose such policies.”
At this time the investigation is incomplete so we don’t know for sure if the letter is real, a decoy forged by Waters, or just a malicious attempt to sabotage the Republican candidate. These are the current theories but again, we have to wait and see how the investigation goes.
Keep this in mind, though, Waters was recently hit with an ethics complaint from a watchdog group for inciting violence. No matter how you look at this thing, it doesn’t look good for Maxine.
Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton filed an ethics complaint against Waters after Ms. Waters made her remarks during a rally in Los Angeles, during which she entreated participants to “push back” on Trump staffers in public places such as restaurants or gas stations.
“In encouraging individuals to create ‘crowds’ who will ‘push back’ on President Trump’s Cabinet members at private business establishments and in seemingly trying to prevent these Cabinet officials from obtaining basic necessities without fear of assault and violence, Rep. Waters seems to be a violation of House rules,” Mr. Fitton wrote.
Let’s get this straight I tweet a letter which says Maxine Waters wants to bring 41,000 Somali refugees. I only tweet according to this document asking a question. Now the FBI is on me for her complaint. She threatens the president and his supporters and no investigation on her.
Navarro has stated from the beginning that he did not know much about the origin of the letter or it’s validity but never the less has fallen under attack for sharing it.
“The DOJ is following up with the report Maxine Waters made to the Them. I’m meeting with the FBI and Capital Police on Wednesday. Over a letter, I tweeted asking a question whether the letter was true or not. How about they investigate her for threats,” Navarro tweeted.
“I don’t know why they are looking into me since I’m not the one who fabricated the letter,” Navarro said Monday. He said he has not had contact with the person who sent him the letter since December”
