MSNBC Host Quickly Corrects Guest’s Threat Towards Deplorables

MSNBC Host Joy Reid frequently has Trump haters on her show. She has invited the unhinged Maxine Waters on her show numerous times, just to hear her obnoxiously rant about the president and how she feels he needs to be impeached right away. This time she found herself a different Trump hater who went a different more inciting route. Reid invited on Elie Mystal, who feels Dems need to destroy or beat Trump supporters.

He did correct himself after Reid corrected him, and added the figuratively remark. But if Reid had not stopped him, would he have backpedaled?

You don’t communicate it to them — you beat them. Beat them. They are not a majority of this country. The majority of white people in this country are not a majority of the country,” Mystal said while appearing on MSNBC’s “AM Joy.” “And all the people who are not fooled by this need to come together, go to the polls, go to the protests, do whatever you have to do. You do not negotiate with these people — you destroy them.”

Host Joy Reid apparently realized her guest’s comment could be taken as inflammatory and quickly intervened.“The black man said ‘beat them,’ meaning in an election,” she said as Mystal added “figuratively.”

But this is not the first time that Mystal has been “misspoke.” While being interviewed by Chris Hayes he talked about forming an angry mob.

Above The Law executive editor, Elie Mystal said he had “no problem” with putting a spotlight on billionaire donors like [Stephen] Ross “who fund this kind of racialized hate” since people of color are “already targets” under the Trump administration. He told the panel that he was willing to “go further.”

“I want pitchforks and torches outside this man’s house in the Hamptons,” Mystal said. “I’ve been to the Hamptons, it’s very nice. There’s no reason it has to be. There’s no reason he should be able to have a nice little party. There’s no reason why people shouldn’t be able to be outside of his house and making their voices peacefully understood.”

Hayes also backpedaled for Mystal reiterating that despite the torches and pitchforks, it would be a peaceful protest.

Sounds like Mystal is trying to call for violence, but clearer heads are trying to stop him from inciting violence on their shows. But Liberals are always calling for the mobilization of anti-Trumpers. They just act offended when you call them out on their inciting nature.
