The New York Times seems to have trouble like most liberal-leaning newspapers when it comes to reporting the unbiased truth. Trump addressed the nation after the recent shootings, he called for unity against racism.
“Together, we lock arms to shoulder the grief, we ask God in Heaven to ease the anguish of those who suffer, and we vow to act with urgent resolve,” he said. “In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. … Now is the time to set destructive partisanship aside — so destructive — and find the courage to answer hatred with unity, devotion, and love.”
A New York Times writer penned the title “TRUMP URGES UNITY VS. RACISM.” He quickly found that the liberals that read the paper were outraged. They didn’t want the truth, they wanted their biased news.
The New York Times decided to hold a meeting over the Trump-friendly title amongst other things.
“Much of the meeting focused on outrage over a headline last week following multiple mass shootings, including one in El Paso that authorities have said was seemingly motivated by racial hatred. The headline, which proclaimed “Trump Urges Unity Against Racism,” faced criticism both outside and within the paper among those who said the publication was papering over the president’s history of racist comments and how Trump seemed to focus on other issues, including violent video games, more than racism and xenophobia.
“He’s sick. He feels terrible,” Baquet said of the person who wrote the offending headline.
The top editor reiterated that the headline was a mistake—“It was a fucking mess,” he told the staff—but joined other newsroom leaders in cautioning staff not to overreact to Twitter comments about the paper’s editorial decisions.”
This is just sad. They held a meeting over telling the truth like it was a bad thing. This is just more proof on how ridiculous the MSM has become. I wonder are they going to put out a letter of apology over accidentally reporting the truth?
