Former Attorney General Eric Holder said at a recent campaign event that when Republicans “go low,” Democrats should “kick them” in response, a video that surfaced Wednesday shows, according to The Hill.
Holder, while campaigning for Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D), said that it’s time for Democrats to be as “tough,” “dedicated” and “committed” as Republicans are.
“Michelle [Obama] always says that you know, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ No. When they go low, we kick them. That’s what this new Democratic Party is about,” he said. “We’re proud as hell to be Democrats. We’re going to fight for the ideals of the Democratic Party.”
Holder was the latest Democrat pointing to the need to toughen up ahead of next month’s midterms, where liberals could take control of the House or Senate.
Clinton herself told CNN in an interview that aired Tuesday that it was time to be “tougher” with their opponents.
“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton told CNN’s, Christiane Amanpour. “That’s why I believe if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again.”
Holder later tried to clarify that he didn’t mean to incite physical violence but as usual his recantation came well after the fact.
I wasn’t aware that the Democrats thought they were ‘taking it easy’ on Conservatives while they riot and call it a protest. It’s that denial that makes the party seem so unhinged.
Just recently WaPo did a story about radical activist not being ‘a thing’ but Oregon’s leftists must have not gotten the message. They could be seen attacking cars, assaulting the elderly and at one point bombarded a woman in a wheelchair.
Clinton and the rest of her violence inciting buddies are right about one thing, though. The left isn’t tough. If the roles were reversed and it was Conservatives attacking, they would melt down into a puddle of hysterics.
