Rep Ilhan Omar tried to make light of 9/11. She was criticized by the president, The New York Post, and Rep Crenshaw. Democrats failed to do their jobs and instead of urging their party member to apologize for her gross conduct, they actually defended her. AOC was there every step of the way to defend Omar. The Less progressive Pelosi also came to the young congresswoman’s defense. But it turns out she didn’t even know what was said.
During a CNN interview with Christiane Amanpour, Pelosi was asked about Omar and whether she was concerned for her well being and about her poor conduct.
“Yes, and “I don’t think the congresswoman is anti-Semitic. I wouldn’t even put those in the same category.”
“But she is being accused of it,” Amanpour interjected.
“She’s being accused of it but I criticize the president for using film of 9/11 as a political tool. I think he was wrong to do that.”
Pelosi then brought it back to antisemitism. “For a long time now I have said to our people that we send to these meetings like NATO…I have always said you go there use your judgment, you know the values of our caucus. But one guidance I give everyone is that I want you to say while you are there, is that we are concerned about anti-semitism raising its head all over, including in our own country. But some of this predates it raising its head in our country in a recent way so this is nothing new for us so…”
“But the Democratic party, are you concerned that your opposition, going towards the next election or however they wish to use it, will use that to call, as the president has done, you know the Democrats are the party that is prejudice of the jews- Amanpour tried to ask before being cut off.
“I think the president is bankrupt of many ideas,” Pelosi stated. “I don’t want to talk about the president here because I am overseas. Come see me in Washington D.C. and I will tell you what I think about that and the president. But no, we have no taint of that [anti-Semitism],” she added. “And just because they want to accuse somebody of that doesn’t mean that we take that bait.”
“Do you think, as some of your own party have suggested, that you yourself weren’t swift enough to defend Ilhan Omar?” Amanpour asked.
“Well, I haven’t had the chance to speak to her. I’m traveling, she’s traveling, but we couldn’t catch up with her. “Until I talk to somebody, I don’t even know what wassaid,” Pelosi admitted. “But I do know that what the president did was not right.”

“She’s got a way about her that’s very, very bad, I think, for our country. I think she’s extremely unpatriotic and extremely disrespectful to our country,” the president said in reference to Omar at an event in Minnesota on Monday.
That’s ridiculous Pelosi should at least look into what she is defending. It’s really dumb on her part as Omar has already proven to say antisemitic things.
