Pelosi Claims Republicans Are Ignoring Morality By Banning Murder

And by Murder I mean Abortion. Pelosi had the gall to come down on Republican who are against abortion. She even claimed that they were ignoring morality by encouraging bans. It appears she doesn’t understand what morality is or thinks killing babies is a moral act.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told one of the nation’s leading abortion advocacy groups on Thursday that Republicans “ignore basic morality” when they push bans on the practice.”

Today, as we know, an all-out assault on women’s reproductive freedoms is sweeping the nation, as Republicans seek to impose abortion bans on millions of women in dozens of states.

These bans violate the Constitution.  They ignore basic morality.  They imperil the health and well-being of countless women.  And they showcase a radical Republican agenda that will stop at nothing to take away a woman’s right to make her own decisions upon her – about her health, her body, and the timing and size of her family.

But, we all know the truth: every woman, everywhere has the constitutional and moral right to basic reproductive health care.  ”

“Pelosi’s pro-life opponents have also framed their cause in moral terms. During his 2019 State of the Union address, Trump decried Democratic stances on abortion and urged Congress to pass a ban on late-term procedures.

“These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world,” he said in February.”

Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio and Utah — enacted outright abortion bans, largely to spur lawsuits that might prompt the Supreme Court to reconsider its 1973 ruling. None of the laws would take effect unless the court reverses Roe v. Wade. Federal courts have blocked them.

Tennessee, which is also Republican-controlled, enacted a so-called trigger law that would ban abortions only if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Trigger laws, already on the books in seven other states, are not unconstitutional and, therefore, are not subject to federal lawsuits.

All 12 states already had laws that banned abortion in some cases, as well as trigger laws and extensive regulations making it difficult for abortion clinics to operate. The new laws are intended to renew those states’ political intent to outlaw abortion as well as to spur a high court review.”

This is not about women’s health no one is trying to harm women. Pro-life advocates and Republicans simply believe life is sacred. They are trying to protect the lives of countless babies that women are seeing as a burden when they should be considered a blessing.
