Planned Parenthood is supposedly a clinic that is “dedicated to offering all people high-quality, affordable medical care.” But they recently proved that they are much more concerned about aborting babies than healthcare.
“Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of women, men, and young people worldwide.”
“Our skilled health care professionals are dedicated to offering all people high-quality, affordable medical care. One in five American women has chosen Planned Parenthood for health care at least once in her life.”
And I am sure they do help some people that are not looking to get an abortion. But it appears aborting fetuses is more important to them than providing low-income women care as they have turned down federal funding. The only contingency to get the funding was to refrain from performing abortions or referring women to clinics that would provide the service.
“Planned Parenthood will lose $60 million in taxpayer funds because of its withdrawal from Title X, as Life News notes. The Los Angeles Times pointed out that Planned Parenthood treats 41% of the Title X patients in the United States.
The Health and Human Services Department dismissed the complaints from Planned Parenthood, noting that the abortion giant had known about the rule for months. HHS stated, “Some grantees are now blaming the government for their own actions — having chosen to accept the grant while failing to comply with the regulations that accompany it — and they are abandoning their obligations to serve patients under the program.”
Fox News reported, “Planned Parenthood’s pullout followed a June order from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that lifted a nationwide injunction that had prevented the Trump administration from enforcing the new rule. The court’s three-judge panel, with two judges appointed by President Trump, is still weighing Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit to overturn the rule but has allowed the administration to begin enforcement — a sign that the administration will ultimately win on the merits.”
Sounds like Planned Parenthood may soon have to stop promoting abortions or they are not going to be able to provide that affordable care they claim to have.
