Progressive Dems Poised To Oust Schumer For AOC

It looks like AOC is here to stay. According to current trends, socialism is starting to gain favor among women. There is talk that the trendy gaffe-prone AOC would be a top pick to replace either Senator Schumer or Gillibrand.

Top Democrats tell “Axios on HBO” they expect Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may eventually primary one of the two New York senators — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in 2022, or Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2024.

Corbin Trent, Ocasio-Cortez’s communications director, said that when she thinks down the road, she thinks in terms of transitioning Democrats to a party that’s unified around progressive policies.

As to eventually challenging one of the New York senators, Trent said: “Having worked on her campaign, I don’t think we’re going to be moving to a different role any time soon.”

A Harris poll for “Axios on HBO” finds that socialism is gaining popularity: 4 in 10 Americans say they would prefer living in a socialist country over a capitalist one.

Why it matters: Socialism is losing its Soviet-era stigma, especially among women. Popular Democratic socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders are bringing new life and meaning to the term.

  • 55% of women between 18 and 54 would prefer to live in a socialist country than a capitalist country.
  • But a majority of men prefer to live in a capitalist country.”

We’ve seen this pattern of behavior where women are turning out in higher numbers as voters and as candidates than we’ve ever seen,” Axios’ Alexi McCammond said. “They’re getting elected in higher numbers than before. They’re pushing the conversation in different ways.

They’re looking for someone, a candidate on either side, who’ll support this idea of a socialist country that they want to live in.”

So it looks there may be no end to the constant babbling of AOC. Is this what the new face of Dems look like? If you think they are intolerable now, just imagine how bad they will get if AOC starts leading them.
