AOC, as many know by now, doesn’t know the difference between a Concentration Camp and a Detention Center. She was invited to see some, but declined, as she doesn’t seem to have any intention of bettering herself. Liberals have been trying to back AOC’s crazy notions, and it appears that one, in particular, is not only backing AOC, she is upping the ante. Rosie O’Donnell is adding onto the absurd notion about Concentration Camps at the border. She claims it’s not just on the border, America is chock full of them.
O’Donnell was interviewed on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Where she found herself making a ludicrous claim.
“COHEN: Rosie, you’re going to be doing a vigil called Lights for Liberty, July 12th, demanding an end to the detention camps.
O’DONNELL: Yeah, the concentration camps, even though there’s lots of controversy about the word. But actually, legitimate scholars who study genocide say, yes, these are, in fact, the criteria for concentration camps, they meet them. There are over 100,000 camps in nearly every state. There’s between 10,000 and 13,000 children, that could fill Radio City Music Hall twice. That’s how many children unaccompanied alone in these camps.
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum commented on the incorrect use of the term Concentration Camps.
“The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum unequivocally rejects efforts to create analogies between the Holocaust and other events, whether historical or contemporary. That position has repeatedly and unambiguously been made clear in the Museum’s official statement on the matter – a statement that is reiterated and reaffirmed now. The link to the Museum’s statement is here.
The Museum further reiterates that a statement ascribed to a Museum staff historian regarding recent attempts to analogize the situation on the United States southern border to concentration camps in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s does not reflect the position of the Museum.
The Museum deeply regrets any offense to Holocaust survivors and others that may have been engendered by any statement ascribed to a Museum historian in a personal capacity.”
But according to O’Donnell and AOC, the museum doesn’t know any better. Their experts say they are right, so that’s all that matters. It seems both of these Liberals must have been absent when it came time to learn about the Holocaust.
