We all remember San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz desperate plea for aid in the wake of Hurricane Maria’s aftermath nearly a year ago today. The ‘tearful’ speech, where she stated ‘please save us from dying’, showcased the Mayor in front of a massive stockpile of supplies.
Well, we thought it was massive, but in reality, it wasn’t even a fraction of supplies the U.S. Government sent. We now know that much of the supplies the devastated island received still lay in ruins under the son – a YEAR later. A photo surfaced, dated September 11th, 2018, shows an entire runway covered in bottled water.
The leftist media took Cruz’s speech and tried to crucify Trump for not doing more. When the President claimed there were ample supplies being sent, they called him a liar and demanded proof. Looks like they have their proof now.
According to The New York Post, a photo showing the bottles in boxes and covered in a blue tarp on a runway in Ceiba was shared widely on social media Tuesday evening.
“Although you don’t believe it… almost a million boxes of water that were never delivered to the villages,” posted Abdiel Santana, a photographer working for a Puerto Rican state police agency who took the pictures. “Is there anyone who can explain this?”
FEMA acknowledged to CBS News on Wednesday that the bottles were brought inland in 2017 in the wake of the hurricane and that they were turned over to “central government.”
.@FEMA has told @CBSNews that what could be millions of bottles of water that were sent to the island to help the survivors of Hurricane Maria, has been sitting on a runway in Ceiba, Puerto Rico since last year," @DavidBegnaud reports. pic.twitter.com/NFMJKb4ULf

Rush Limbaugh said “One of the things that… You know, Trump yesterday was talking about how great the United States response was to the hurricane in Puerto Rico. The media’s outraged. The media can’t stand it! The media’s livid! “How dare Trump say that our response was magnificent!” It was, and so was our response to Hurricane Katrina! Despite all the conventions.”
Yep, after everyone blamed Trump for not getting supplies to the people of Puerto Rico, the Truth comes out. Despite FIMA telling the media repeatedly that the supplies were sent, the U.S. was made out to be this uncaring Nation that left its citizens hanging in their time of need.
