Schiff Tried To Pull The Brakes On ‘Impeachment’ Talks, Admits There Isn’t A ‘Powerful Case’

Adam Schiff is desperately trying to pull the breaks up on Democrat’s impeachment talk. Stating that there isn’t a ‘powerful case’ and that pursuing impeachment without evidence will only shoot them in the foot in the long run. Especially now that we are nearing the Primary elections.

According to The Washington Examiner, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said on CNN’s “State of the Union” that severe allegations against Trump would be needed to convince congressional Republicans to act to remove him from office.

“I don’t think we should be talking about it and embracing it before we’ve seen the whole body of evidence,” he said. “Given the dearth of people in the GOP who aren’t willing to say anything about this president’s conduct, I think you’re going to need a really powerful case.”

“I think as a matter of our constitutional responsibility we have to look candidly at what is the evidence and what does that mean and what does that say in terms of whether we’ve reached the point of high crimes and misdemeanors,” he said. “But I don’t think we should be talking about it and embracing it before we have seen the full body of evidence. As a former prosecutor, I like to know all the facts before I make a judgment.”

Schiff added that impeachment is a “political standard,” meaning that it is dependent upon those in the political bodies of Congress who decide whether something is or is not a reason to impeach. “Given the dearth of people in the GOP who are willing to say anything about this president’s conduct, I think you’re going to need a really powerful case to entertain that kind of a sanction,” he said.

It’s a case that they simply do not have… but it seems that the few Democrats calling to end the impeachment talk are only doing so to avoid losing in the fall elections. This could also be true in Schiff’s case. It’s obvious that if they keep this witchhunt going they’re going to screw the pooch (Military term meaning to crash your plane into the water) and hand the elections over to Republicans.

The only party, at this point, that doesn’t seem raving mad and backward… So let the Dems rant. They’re only hurting themselves.
