Trump had a rally in Florida this past Wednesday. Dems are trying to make a big deal out of how Trump reacted to a random spectator’s comment.
The spectator yelled “shoot them” in response to Trump’s rhetorical question of how to deal with incoming migrants. WaPo and Dems criticized Trump for not strongly condemning the comment. But Trump had already addressed the exact idea just prior to the outburst stating “we can’t let them use weapons.” The “We” being border patrol and Americans.
But of course, Rep Ilhan Omar like many Dems took thought this was an opportunity to come at Trump, so she took to Twitter.
“This was hard to watch and listen to but unsurprising that Trump would laugh about shooting people who come to our country seeking a better life.”Omar tweeted in response to the exchange that can be seen in the video below.
Watch the supposed controversial clip.
It's hard to tell what someone in the crowd yells at Trump, but immediately after talking about not using violence/weapons on immigrants, Trump laughs and says "only in the panhandle can you get away with that statement."
The Reagan Battalion posted a longer version of the clip to better showcase why she has no ground to stand on when it comes to anything said.
“I remember when I was in college, I took a terrorism class,” Omar said smiling.
“Is there such thing?” the host asked.
“Yea, there was a class,” Omar responded.
“Do you go to a lab, a field trip?” the host asked mocking the idea of a terrorism class.
“No, we learned the ideology… The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said Al Qaeda his shoulders went up,” Omar said giggling while saying Al Qaeda and Hezbollah.”
“But you know, it is that you don’t say America with an intensity, you don’t say England with the intensity. You don’t say The Army with the intensity. But you say these names because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.”
