Trump is getting bashed for wanting to exit Syria now that the ISIS threat has been for the most part neutralized. He is trying to keep us out of an additional war and continue to keep Americans safe. He tweeted about the whole situation. Many were upset with this decision.
“I was elected on getting out of these ridiculous endless wars, where our great Military functions as a policing operation to the benefit of people who don’t even like the USA. The two most unhappy countries at this move are Russia & China, because they love seeing us bogged…..”
“….down, watching over a quagmire, & spending big dollars to do so. When I took over, our Military was totally depleted. Now it is stronger than ever before. The endless and ridiculous wars are ENDING! We will be focused on the big picture, knowing we can always go back & BLAST!”
“As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). They must, with Europe and others, watch over…”
“….the captured ISIS fighters and families. The U.S. has done far more than anyone could have ever expected, including the capture of 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. It is time now for others in the region, some of great wealth, to protect their own territory. THE USA IS GREAT!”
Watch The Clip Below.
Trump THROWING Syrian Kurds under the BUS: "What kind of message is that to the next ally that wants to side with us? … All we did is arm them, and they did all the work. And now we say 'good luck. Good luck surviving.' Disaster." pic.twitter.com/JgIVkRfrYV
So even Republicans have spoken out against Trump this time. They feel the same as Brian Kilmeade does above. They feel we should stay and defend the ally that helped us fight ISIS. Maybe we should stick around for a while just to give them time to prepare, but this is one of those rock and a hard place deals. How many Americans are we willing to lose to Turkey if they invade, even after we tell them to wait? We really have no dog in the Turkey-Syria fight. They are both allies. But Turkey is much bigger and if we were to stay, we could strengthen Turkey’s ties to Russia. This could become another endless war.
So Yes it is a tough call. But, in the end, it strengthens our bond with Turkey and saves the lives of numerous American servicemen.
