“You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.” Warren is following in Bernie Sanders footsteps by claiming things will be “free,” when that is not the case at all. This time it is free daycare and schooling.
“As president, she said she would implement a 2 cent per dollar tax on fortunes worth more than $50 million dollars, which would be levied against 75,000 of the top-earning U.S. families.
The tax would raise more than $1 trillion, Warren said, enough to pay for childcare for every baby in this country from newborns to 5-year-olds, universal pre-kindergarten for every 3-and-4-year-old child, and tuition-free technical school, community college and four-year college for everyone who wants a higher education.
“Plus we can cancel student loan debt for 95% of people,” she said.”
She is also in favor of the Green New Deal which once again will be made “free” by the rich.
“Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)… signed on as a co-sponsor of the Green New Deal after her office initially said she supported the “idea” of such a proposal.
“Climate change is real, it threatens all of us, & we have no time to waste to address it head-on,” the Massachusetts senator tweeted in sharing her support for the resolution.
She listed the Green New Deal alongside other progressive proposals she supports, including “Medicare for all,” student loan relief and overturning Citizens United.
Warren has tied in her support for the Green New Deal to another of her most progressive proposals, an “ultra-millionaire tax,” that would apply to the wealthiest Americans.”
“With the revenue from the #UltraMillionaireTax, we could provide universal childcare for working parents across America. A path to student debt relief for those who need it. Down payments on a Green New Deal & Medicare for All. Schultz might not need those things. America does.”
Just how much does she want to tax the rich? I feel that they may start leaving in droves if she keeps on making plans with their money.
