Woke Doctor Loses It Threatens Parent’s Rights

The Australian Psychology Society is trying to take parents out of the equation when it comes to gender reassignment surgery. They are intending for children under 16 to undergo this type of surgery without the permission of a parent.

Transgender children under the age of 16 should be able to undergo surgery without their parents’ permission, according to Australia’s top psychologists.

The Australian Psychological Society, which represents 24,000 professionals, says the disapproval of both parents should not inhibit a child under 16 from consenting to procedures.

But children’s ability to make decisions must be assessed by ‘competent’ doctors…”

It was only last year transgender children needed to seek the approval of the Family Court to have irreversible surgery,” The Daily Mail noted. “The APS’ stance comes from questions floated by the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute,” which is “in the process of reviewing legislation which allows teenagers over 16 to change their gender identity on their birth certificate.”

The group of psychologists also argued that “mandatory pre-surgery counseling is often ‘an unnecessary burden’ on the child,” noted The Daily Mail.

“The APS said the child’s gender identity had likely already experienced ‘considerable medical oversight,’” The Daily Mail continued. “Parents who disapprove of their children’s medical treatment pose a ‘significant barrier’ for the child, it said.”

Looking to skirt dissenting parents, the APS suggested hospitals and advocacy groups petition courts. Additionally, the group argued that children should have access to legal counsel in order to seek authorization for their own gender-related treatments.”

This is ludicrous that psychologists would think this way. This endangers children. Parents are supposed to have the ability to stop their children from doing something stupid. Gender reassignment surgery for a minor is frankly dumb. The minors are going through changes as they become adults and it can be a confusing time.

There is no need to add to the confusion by giving children the option to make a permanent mistake. If a confused youth wants to make the changes when they become an adult that is on them. But parents should have the opportunity to protect their children even from themselves at times.
