I realize that this is the second time this week I have called a Democrat’s response ‘garbage’, but sometimes you just have to call it what it is- and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s response to the Biden border crisis was hot garbage. According to Pelosi, we don’t have a crisis at the southern border but a ‘humanitarian challenge’. It was mixed into her word salad of ramblings that formed what she feels is an appropriate response.
“This is a humanitarian challenge to all of us,” the speaker said on ABC News’s “This Week.” Pelosi said President Joe Biden had “inherited is a broken system at the border” and that his administration was “working to correct that in the children’s interest.”
“I’m so pleased that the president, as a temporary measure, has sent FEMA to the border in order to help facilitate the children where they are cared for as they are transferred into family homes or homes that are safe for them to be,” Pelosi added.
Well, I guess if Nancy is ‘pleased’ we can all go home and not worry about the over 3,000 displaced children sleeping on crowded floors and being denied for. Right?
Pelosi claims that Biden ‘inherited’ the crisis and nothing could be further from the truther. President Trump worked deals with our neighboring southern countries to slow the flow of immigrants that Biden quickly worked to toss out. Biden also shut down the immigration detention centers, only to reopen them after illegal immigrants responded to the call that he would grant them free citizenship no matter their immigration status.
What Biden inherited was strict immigration standards, foreign agreements, and safer policies that offered citizenship to properly vetted immigrants. It’s what Biden did with his inheritance that causes the problem.
Arkansas’ Senator, Republican Tom Cotton, called Pelosi out during an interview with Fox News, saying “At no point in that rambling, incoherent answer did Nancy Pelosi even come close to expressing a rational thought. What they inherited was a border that was closed. We were building a wall and turning away all migrants who had no right to cross into our country.”
He added, “The Biden border crisis, though, was created by Joe Biden’s promises of amnesty and open borders, free health care for illegals during the campaign. That’s why border crossings have increased every month since the election.”
Cotton continued, “And now, the Biden administration is sending FEMA to the border. They are, by their own declaration, admitting it’s a disaster. That’s what it is when you deploy FEMA, a disaster.”
The left is really trying to stretch the truth or change history with the new narrative that the Trump administration somehow caused the Biden border crisis. Democrats are using federal agencies to try to move things along more quietly.
Cotton concluded, “But remember, they’re not deploying FEMA to secure the border, to try to finish the wall or to stop those migrants from crossing. They’re deploying FEMA to expedite them, wave them in even fasted, give them a bus ticket, a plane ticket and send them wherever they want to go in the United States. That is the Biden border crisis.”
I know that using ‘garbage’ to explain Pelosi’s response is not the most eloquent way to describe what she said, but it is the most accurate- I believe. It’s honestly don’t know if I have ever seen Pelosi chain together a continuous response that didn’t include a plethora of slurred words, ramblings, or flat-out nonsense. So garbage is what I expected out of her, and garbage is what we all received…
