Do Dems think we have already forgotten all of the good Trump did? Trump fought tooth and nail to get the border wall put up. He had to fight Dems to care about the Americans. The MSM painted him as evil for the detention centers at the border, yet Obama used them during his presidency, and now the detention centers are overflowing under Biden. So Dems are once again are trying to cover for Biden, and his DHS Secretary, Mayorkas, is claiming that the border crisis is all Trump’s fault.
“The situation at the southwest border is difficult,” Mayorkas said in his statement. “We are on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years. We are expelling most single adults and families. We are not expelling unaccompanied children.”
“Poverty, high levels of violence, and corruption in Mexico and the Northern Triangle countries have propelled migration to our southwest border for years,” Mayorkas said.
Mayorkas also blamed the Trump administration for the crisis, saying it “completely dismantled the asylum system,” and “cut foreign aid funding to the Northern Triangle.” The Trump administration in fact restored some aid to those countries in 2019 after they agreed to receive illegal immigrants expelled by the U.S.”
Republicans have cited Biden’s removal of Trump administration policies, such as the “Remain in Mexico” rule, as fueling the crisis.”
Former acting ICE director Tom Homan claims this is all Biden’s fault.
“In 2020, the alien children numbers were down 70% from the year prior. Illegal immigration was down 50-80% depending on what month you looked at. Last month, Joe Biden’s policy created a 300% increase in alien children…
“The border is not secure because the Biden administration has undone all the success of the Trump administration. You got a job to do, educate yourself, give me a call I’ll tell you how to fix it, but you can’t go on national TV and say this is President Trump’s fault…”
Trump made a deal with Mexico to stop the migrants before they get to our border. Our border was more secure under Trump than it had been for years. But somehow after Biden practically rolls out the welcome mat for migrants with his fast track to citizenship plan, and his poor decision to dissolve our deal with Mexico, it’s Trump’s fault that we have a crisis at the border now…
