Racism against white people seems to be a fad these days. You can openly discriminate against white people and the MSM won’t even blink. But writing against anyone else is unacceptable and racist… The Root writer Damon Young is a black writer that seems to hate white people for existing it seems. He blames white people for just about everything, but this form of hate is somehow ok…
Read an excerpt from his hateful tangent.
“Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people—”
He later writes:
“White supremacy is a virus that, like other viruses, will not die until there are no bodies left for it to infect. Which means the only way to stop it is to locate it, isolate it, extract it, and kill it.”
His hate for white people likely comes from the bitterness he feels over his mom’s death. He wrote about her last year claiming it was her race that ultimately led to her demise, not the terminal lung cancer.
“When she was a terminal cancer patient, that status was her primary identity when receiving care, superseding race, gender, and class. She was considered vulnerable. Defenseless. Worthy. Of protection. Of pain relief. Of treatment. Of effort. But when she was just another Black woman, she was just another Black woman and treated as such. Of course, I have no hard proof of this.”
I get that he lost his mom. But White people did not give her cancer and poor healthcare is not exclusive to minorities. His hate is unfounded and his energy put forth towards it is wasted. No mother would want their son to waste their time hating a whole race of people over an illness that doesn’t discriminate. These divisive articles need to be stopped. Young is in the wrong in more ways than I can count here. I get that he is still hurting, but spreading hate is by no means the answer. The MSM and Libs should hold themselves to a higher standard than this. Hate speech is hate speech regardless of who the target is.
