YES! Crenshaw Refuses To Bite When Chock Todd Shamelessly Tried To Bait Him

You know, it’s weird how everyone on the left suddenly cares about Liz Cheney. Never mind the fact that they never cared about her before— the left constantly targeted her father former vice president Dick Cheney. Now that she’s been removed, the left has absolutely lost their minds and it’s hilarious.

Hacks, like  NBC host, Chuck Todd, have tried their best to somehow tie Cheney’s removal to former president Trump— even though the rhino has only served to divide the party during a time when they’re trying to regain the majority. TX Rep, Dan Crenshaw refused to let Todd make the connection and shredded the host for trying:

\Crenshaw spoke NBC’s”Meet The Press” with host Todd about rejecting “black and white thinking” when it comes to former President Trump’s role in the Republican Party going forward.

“Look, I do not think Trump is the devil and I won’t say that. I don’t think he’s Jesus either. I’m a rational human being about this,” Crenshaw said. “And I refuse to allow this drama to engulf us.”

“You’re not going to get the colleagues who believe in that kind of stuff to apologize to you or agree with you… I stand by everything I’ve ever said and done and that’s all I can speak for.”

“There’s no point in re-litigating some of these things,” he said. “I believe that you’re not going to excommunicate a former president, right?”

“She refuses to apologize, which is fine, I don’t think she should. But, then she demands that everyone else does,” he said, pointing out that House Republicans held a vote in February on whether to keep Cheney in her position, to which she won “overwhelmingly.”

“This is not the subject that I’m asked about,” Crenshaw explained. “I get asked about why is there rising inflation, why is there a border crisis, what is going on in the middle east, why can’t we get gas, what is happening to our energy infrastructure, why can’t I hire people, why are they getting paid by the government to stay at home instead of come to work? These are things that really affect people, not this internal drama.”

Watch:

Unlike some other Republicans, Crenshaw said he’s “not going to take the bait” from Todd and will instead focus on more important issues. The congressman said he’s not being quizzed about Cheney by voters, who are more concerned about jobs, inflation, and unrest in the Middle East.
