The learning curve is slow for some people. Any American that watches more than the biased MSM should have heard by now that the Corona Virus did not come from some bat in a wet market in Wuhan. Our intelligence has even stated that they believe with a high degree of certainty that COVID was leaked from a lab. So now Dr. Fauci must have finally read/seen some unbiased news and admitted that he is suspect of COVID’s origins… What took him so long?
Fauci admitted that he was no longer certain of the origins of COVID during the United Facts of America: A Festival of Fact-Checking event.
“There’s a lot of cloudiness around the origins of COVID-19 still, so I wanted to ask, are you still confident that it developed naturally?” PolitiFact’s Katie Sanders asked the nation’s top infectious disease expert…”
“No actually,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) said, around 12 minutes into footage of the event, which was held earlier this month but overlooked by most media outlets. “I am not convinced about that, I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened.”
“Certainly, the people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could have been something else, and we need to find that out. So, you know, that’s the reason why I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus,” he continued.
This is a big change from Fauci’s previous stance last May when he said the virus definitely came from bats.
“If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated,” he told National Geographic at the time.
It took him long enough to come around. But it appears he has been rescinding all sorts of claims recently, so perhaps he is just sick of pushing the Liberal narrative about COVID.
