What’s Chuck Todd Smoking? Claims Withdraw Would Have Been Worse Under Trump

The liberal media is really working overtime trying to add any type of positive spin on Biden’s decision to suddenly withdraw troops from Afganistan amid a Taliban takeover. The withdrawal has sent Kubal spiraling into chaos as many Afghans try to flee the country rather than face the Taliban, alone.

While the rest of the world watched as Afgan citizens who aided American soldiers clung to the wheels of US military planes as they took off, NBC’s Chuck Todd claimed ‘it could have been worse’.

The tactless and lying Todd claimed that the deadly withdrawal would have been worse under Trump. Trump had previously made plans to withdraw from Afganistan but added emphasis on ‘safely’ backing troops out of the country.

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Todd noted the divisions within the GOP on the subject of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, noting that “Mitch McConnell was on one side” and “Donald Trump was on the other.”

“It’s pretty clear this probably would have been just as bad, if not worse, under what Trump wanted to do,” Todd told the panel. “He wanted to pull everyone out by Christmas. If he had won re-election, perhaps he might have done that.”

Todd then asked, “Is this a big blow for the isolationist wing of the GOP” and will it “weaken Trump’s hold over time?”
