You know even Obama said that he thought Biden was not up to the task of being president and they seemed close during his presidency. But Dems didn’t listen to reason and fixed the election so that a dementia-ridden man and his token unpopular running mate would be in office. They didn’t think about the welfare of our country, no, all they were worried about is getting rid of Trump, a president that put Americans first. So now we are in this debacle in Afghanistan, which could have been avoided had we had a competent leader, and we have screwed up to the point that the Taliban feels like they can call the shots. And really they have thousands of Americans stranded there right now, so they have quite a few bargaining chips if things did go downhill.
The Sky News interviewed Taliban Spokesman Suhail Shaheen and asked him about getting more time to evacuate.
“If the U.S. or U.K. wanted to extend the 31st of August deadline in order to continue evacuations out of the country would you agree to that?” The Sky News correspondent Sally Lockwood asked.
“No, no, no. Shaheen replied.
“Why not?” Lockwood followed up.
“This is something you can say is a redline,” Shaheen explained. “President Biden announced this agreement that 31 of August they would withdraw all of their military forces. So if they extended that means they are extending the occupation while there is no need for that. I think that it will deteriorate the relation that will create mistrust between us. If they are intent on continuing the occupation, it will provoke a reaction.”

“It will provoke a reaction…” We should not be in this predicament right now. This is showing our enemies that we can’t handle the simple act of evacuating a country. I want to say that we would send drones in and light up any of the Taliban that dared to lay a finger on American civilians. But with Biden as our president, even the Taliban knows they can do as they please.
