Rep Omar: Lazy Police Are Causing Crime Rates To Rise

Just how foolish can you be… Rep Omar has been bashing the police demanding they be defunded and even suggesting they be outright abolished. Last year many police stations across the country did get their budgets slashed. So now that crime rates are up, Omar is back to blaming the police. Now it’s the police are too lazy, or maybe could it be they are understaffed after getting their budgets cut?

“What we must also recognize is that the reduction in policing currently in our city and the lawlessness that is happening is due to two things,” Omar said during a town hall event Saturday in Minneapolis.

The second part is that there has to be accountability, and someone that is actually taking responsibility for what the police does and doesn’t do, and that doesn’t exist in this moment. Because we are mandated to have a specific amount of policing we are mandated to you know have the specific kind of police union contract that we have right now. I do not know any other big city in the state of Minnesota that has the charter that we have—”

She needs to pick a lane. Either she wants the police to be well funded and fully able to do their jobs or she wants them defunded and abolished. You can’t cut the police budget and then demand more of them. As it is Minneapolis is understaffed, a lot of the force has retired or found a more supportive environment elsewhere. They did that because the budget was slashed and the public turned on them with BLM riots, people like Rep. Omar.
