I don’t know why the hell everyone is so surprised that Democrats are trying to push an insane spending bill before the end of 2022. We have faced so many near or partial government shutdowns thanks to this garbage that I find it pretty predictable. Here we are again, this time the bill is enormous with very little to do with government spending and more to do with supporting woke ideologies.
Democrats are pushing a 4100-page document and not allowing lawmakers the time to read it. Of course, the media is reporting that lawmakers are threatening a shutdown because they’re refusing to sign but hell, would you? Let them read it or remove the unnecessary dog ears. That would probably slim it down to about 1000 pages.
Senator Chuck Schumer received harsh questions from reporters yesterday on the newly proposed omnibus funding plan. The huge package totals $1.66 trillion and includes cash for nonprofit organizations, Ukraine, and a Planned Parenthood clinic. The full law is 4,155 pages long, and a vote in the Senate is likely tonight.
With only a few hours to evaluate the law, the reporter asked Schumer whether he was happy with it and if he had enough time to read it completely. Schumer said that while he hadn’t completed reading the measure, he was certain that it was a thorough piece of legislation that would fulfill the requirements of the American people.
“How is it functional process to drop a 4,100 page bill this morning and expect a vote on it tomorrow?” a reporter asked. “Most of Congress hasn’t had a chance to review this.”
“The bill has been carefully worked on by the appropriations committee for a very, very long time. Most of the provisions were well known weeks and weeks in advance. Getting this bill done for the American people, which really matters, is the most important thing.”

Oh, and get this! Schumer told reporters that this giant bill is a great start to negotiations. Like he expects giving lawmakers zero time to read a bill is a good start? Prepare for a dogfight, Chucky.
