George Soros is one of the most influential people in America today, and his billions of dollars have enabled him to shape the country in his own liberal image. From his attempts to control foreign policy to his efforts to weaken the criminal justice system, Soros has been a major factor in changing the country for the worse.
Take, for instance, his involvement in the election of Buta Biberaj in Virginia. Soros poured an astonishing $659,000 into her campaign, and it paid off: she won by a slim margin and was sworn in as prosecutor in January of 2020.
Unfortunately, this could spell trouble for law-abiding citizens. Biberaj recently announced that her office wouldn’t be prosecuting misdemeanors like hit-and-run, eluding police, reckless driving, trespassing, public drunkenness, and failure to appear. She claimed that this would enable her office to focus on more serious crimes such as murder and rape, but the facts tell a different story.
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors ended up giving Biberaj’s office a smaller budget increase due to her handling of domestic-violence cases: of 735 cases brought to her office, she dismissed 491, bringing only 8% to trial.
Soros has put his money behind 75 prosecutors across the country who share his pro-criminal bent. This group of people, which includes Kim Gardner in St. Louis, Kim Foxx in Chicago, and Chesa Boudin in San Francisco, have refused to prosecute cases, thrown out charges, and cut lax plea deals. As a result, shootings and homicides have spiked, and Philadelphia prosecuted the lowest number of felony cases in 30 years in 2020.
It’s easy to see why Soros’s actions have had such a devastating effect on the criminal justice system. His attempts to shape the law have only served to make the US a more dangerous place for law-abiding citizens, and his legacy of lawlessness will be felt for years to come. It’s clear that something needs to be done in order to combat Soros’s influence and restore justice and safety to America.
