The recent train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio has caused widespread damage and raised concerns about the government’s response to the disaster. Unfortunately, the liberal media has used this tragic incident to push their own agenda, blaming former President Trump and Norfolk Southern for the hazardous chemical spill while portraying the current administration and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as heroes for their response. But the reality is far from the media’s narrative.
The mainstream media, led by ABC and NBC, has been quick to praise Buttigieg’s stern letter to the company, while ignoring the fact that the response from the Biden administration has been lackluster at best. CBS has been virtually silent on the matter, and it seems like the media can’t resist an opportunity to prop up their Democratic favorites, even if it means ignoring the facts.
In an interview with ABC, Buttigieg called for Congress to hold rail companies accountable, claiming that change needs to begin right away. He also blamed the Trump administration for freezing a rule that would have required two-person crews on trains, citing safety concerns. But his response was far from convincing, as he failed to provide any concrete solutions and instead resorted to blaming the previous administration for everything.
Buttigieg’s handling of the situation has been criticized by Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, the mayor of East Palestine, and even Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), who called for his resignation. The White House took nearly two weeks to contact the mayor of East Palestine, and there were shouts of “where is Pete Buttigieg” at a town hall meeting last week.
The people of East Palestine deserve real solutions, not just political posturing. The Biden administration should be held accountable for their response to the disaster, and the media should stop playing politics and start reporting the facts. It’s time for real action, not just empty promises.

Buttigieg’s lackluster response to the train derailment in East Palestine is just one example of the dangerous policies being pushed by the Biden administration. From the crisis at the southern border to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the current administration has shown a willingness to prioritize political agendas over the safety and well-being of the American people.
It’s time for the media to hold the Biden administration accountable and stop playing favorites. The people of East Palestine deserve better than political posturing and empty promises. They need real leadership for a change!
