White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s claims that President Biden respects the rule of law have sparked disbelief and criticisms from those on the other side of the political aisle. Conservatives across Twitter have voiced their disapproval for the alleged statements from Jean-Pierre, as well as National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.

Center for Renewing America Digital media manager, Kingsley Cortes took to Twitter to express his disbelief, tweeting “If you believe that the DOJ is independent, you’re a moron.” As Karen Townsend further commented on the matter, adding that “It’s scary how clueless and what a liar she is.”

Joe Biden has been facing accusations that his Administration has weaponized the federal government towards his political enemies. This led to the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to be created, prompting Republican National Lawyers Association to make a statement on Twitter.
The Biden Administration has shown again and again that it will use the DOJ and other agencies to go after what it considers to be its political enemies. Things are so bad, that an entire congressional committee had to be created on the subject! @Weaponization https://t.co/x1J8Fz1x29

Univision Political Analyst Vianca Rodriguez also weighed in on the statement, commenting on how an agency that works within the executive branch doesn’t constitute as independent at all, adding that “The top authority within the executive branch? The President.”
There’s no such thing as an “independent” federal agency when it literally corresponds to the executive branch. And who is the top authority within the executive branch? The President. https://t.co/ziIknfpKy0

Sentinel CEO Charles Marino opted for a more satirical approach to criticizing the statements, tweeting “Wow! That’s news!!!” against Kirby’s claims of Biden respecting the rule of law.

The statements from Jean-Pierre and Kirby have pushed the idea that the criminal justice system is becoming more and more politicized, potentially creating an erosion of our democracy. It’s clear that the public is getting tired of the alleged lies from the Biden Administration, and is not afraid to voice it publicly.
Jean-Pierre can try as she might, but the people aren’t stupid. We see the divide getting bigger and the weaponization of our justice system. It’s so painfully clear that the DOJ has been used to attack Biden’s political opponents that denying it has to be a joke at this point.
