ABC Cries Americans Outraged Over Hunter’s Crimes Should Focus On Joe’s ‘Heartache’

ABC was up in arms Wednesday morning about Republican accusations of a two-tier justice system, where President Biden’s son “continued to benefit from the family name” despite his crimes.

Chief White House Correspondent Mary Bruce expressed outrage that Republicans didn’t care how “painful” this was for President Biden, and Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas noted that the “word of Hunter Biden’s deal set off a political firestorm.” Anchor and former Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos leaned into the narrative of President Biden being a victim, asserting that “this case of Hunter Biden has been a source of political and personal heartache” for the President.

Bruce wrapped her remarks by asserting that the Biden family is “adamant that Hunter did absolutely nothing wrong,” and decrying Republicans for not acknowledging the pain this caused the Biden family. Stephanopoulos then looked to Legal Analyst Dan Abrams, who argued that Hunter’s plea deal “made an enormous difference” due to his name, citing that “if this wasn’t Hunter Biden, it is likely he wouldn’t have been prosecuted at all.” In fact, Abrams acknowledged that the tax charges were settled and Hunter eventually paid the penalties and fees associated with not paying taxes on time.

It was the felony illegal gun possession charge, however, that Abrams felt Hunter was getting a raw deal on. He argued that “it does seem the facts support a guilty plea on these charges” and that “thousands would get prosecuted” in such circumstances. It must be noted, however, that Hunter had been very open about his crack addiction which could have been a factor. Moreover, the ATF’s Form 4473 made it known that lying on the form is a felony.

Watch

The main takeaway from the segment was the President’s personal and political suffering being overlooked, and ultimately, the Republican allegation that Hunter’s name provided him some form of preferential justice. It was a difficult pill to swallow for the Biden family, and it would be interesting to see who the two-tier justice system will benefit next.

Having witnessed several cases where other Americans facing the same felony charges received severe jail time while Biden walks scot-free proves without a doubt, that there is a two-tier justice system.
